Cheltenham Acca NEW

Benie Des Dieux crashed out at the last on the opening day of the Festival taking our Acca with her sadly. She had it wrapped up for sure so we were desperately unlucky. I've decided to place another one for the rest of the week. Please remember you should only bet what you can afford to lose and I'd never advise big stakes on these type of bets. We recommend getting a bet365 account as you can add it straight to your bet slip that way (like all of our tips).

We will discuss each selection in detail and explain why we have placed them in our accumulator. These are basically our most confident picks across the next three days.

Wednesday - Champion Chase

Wednesday - Cross Country

Thursday - Stayers' Hurdle

Thursday - Mares' Novices' Hurdle

Friday - Triumph Hurdle

I'm really looking forward to the Champion Chase on Wednesday where ALTIOR will look to maintain his unbeaten record over obstacles. He is the most talented horse in training right now and bar accidents it's hard to envisage him not defending his crown. He is a monster when put under pressure and it could easily be a repeat of last year where Min chased him home.

Given the nature of Cross Country racing it can be a tough watch backing a short priced horse even if they cruise round and win well. A lot can happen so if TIGER ROLL gets a clean run round there can only be one winner but just a word of warning especially if you've never seen the race before. He is undoubtedly the class act and showed his well-being running away with a Grade 2 over hurdles last time. He should take this en route to Aintree like last year.

Next up is our best bet of the entire week, PAISLEY PARK in the Stayers Hurdle. It's crazy to think he started out in handicaps this season but has improved no end and comes here in the 'could be anything' category. The way he ran away from his rivals in the Cleeve Hurdle was mightily impressive and this horse looks like he could be around for years to come. He ticks every box you need for a stayer, just racing behind the bridle, and will be finishing stronger than anything up that gruelling Cheltenham hill. His price has continued to collapse and with good reason.

EPATANTE has won both her races in the UK very impressively and could still be anything at this stage. Nicky Henderson has always spoken highly of her and she looks the most likely winner. She is learning to settle now and this big field at a true pace will obviously only strengthen her claims.

Our final selection in the acca comes on Friday in the Triumph and pitched as the 'Irish banker' SIR EREC is likely to take plenty of beating for Joseph O'Brien. He is a colt with serious gears and the way he jumped his hurdles last time was mightily impressive. He is a standout here and although Quel Destin is a horse I like a lot (and have been with all season) the favourite just looks in a different league to them. I'd fancy the pair to come home 1-2.
